Meet Mikki
I’m an award-winning trans woman playwright. I was honored to be named one of Portland, OR’s 25 Most Influential Artists by Willamette Week magazine. My show American Girl was featured in American Theatre and voted Best Play in the Broadway World Portland Awards following its 2023 production. Other productions of mine include The Queers (Fuse Theatre ’22), My Perfectly Valid Objections (Salt and Sage ’23) and They Them Their (Fuse Theatre ’23). I’m a trans woman playwright, whose work depicts the trans experience in all its juicy, dramatic richness. My play The Queers enjoyed a sold out run at Fuse Theatre Ensemble this spring. My show Mimetic Desire is scheduled for production by the Pittsburgh Classic Players in winter 2022. Other plays on mine have been produced or developed at Artists Rep Theatre, Transformation Theatre, the OUTwright Theatre Festival, Profile Theatre and Post5 Theatre. My short work has appeared in inBetween Literary Journal, Rushing Thru the Dark, Masque & Spectacle and other publications.
